Abdel Bari Atwan, the editor-in-chief of Rai al-Youm newspaper, said in an article published on Wednesday that the Tel Aviv regime will never reach Sinwar, and even if they do, he will resist until the last bullet in his weapon before embracing martyrdom.
Meanwhile, the Israeli regime’s coordination office for its activities in Palestine has released footage apparently showing a tunnel in which Sinwar was living with his family until recently.
Israeli military spokesperson Daniel Hagari also confirmed earlier that Sinwar was staying in “good conditions” before regime forces reached the compound.
In his article, Atwan also said the Zionist authorities’ expression of immense joy over releasing two war prisoners while killing more than 100 Palestinians in heavy airstrikes on southern Rafah is another testament to the regime’s defeat.
“The Zionist regime is looking for a small victory to deceive its public opinion,” he argued, pointing out that both Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his war minister Yoav Gallant called the operation a “turning point” in the war process.
According to Atwan, it is disgraceful that Netanyahu and his senior generals were directly following this operation minute by minute.
He added, “If this regime is strong and claims victory, would it hold a special meeting to follow the process of releasing two elderly war prisoners with various diseases, including cancer?”
At least 28,473 Palestinians have been killed and 68,146 others wounded in Gaze since October 7, when the Zionist regime’s military waged a war on the besieged territory.
