Palestine vindicated in its liberation struggle, Iran FM tells Hamas chief

Doha, IRNA – Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Amirabdollahian has stressed that the world has acknowledged that the Palestinians have a right to be liberated from the Israeli regime’s occupation more than four months after the regime launched a brutal aggression against people in Gaza.

Amirabdollahian made the remarks in a meeting on Tuesday in the Qatari capital of Doha with Ismail Haniyeh, who serves as head of political bureau of the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas.

In the meeting, Amirabdollahian and Haniyeh exchanged views on a wide range of issues including the latest situation in Gaza and the need to stop the Zionist regime’s aggression and crimes against the people of in the enclave and in the occupied West Bank.

Amirabdollahian reiterated that the Israeli regime and the United States, who had mentioned the destruction of Hamas as one of their main goals in the war on Gaza, have now recognized Hamas as a party to political negotiations to end the war.

He praised the brave support shown to Hamas by regional resistance groups and some governments around the world.

Haniyeh, for his part, praised the diplomatic and political moves of the Islamic Republic of Iran to end the war in Gaza.

He emphasized that the Zionist regime has not achieved any of its declared goals after more than 4 months of war and crimes against the Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank.
