World leaders congratulate Raisi on Revolution Day anniversary

Tehran, IRNA – Congratulations are pouring in to Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi on the eve of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Day anniversary on February 11.

In messages sent on Saturday, leaders and top officials of Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Ethiopia, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan felicitated Raisi on the occasion of the victory anniversary of the 1979 Islamic Revolution.

Chinese President Xi Jinping had congratulated Raisi on the 45th victory anniversary of the Revolution in a message sent earlier in the day.

Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev also conveyed a message to his Iranian counterpart, Ebrahim Raisi, congratulating him on the 45th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution. In his message, President Tokayev described Iran as a key partner for his country in the region and expressed his wishes for an excellent future for Iran.

Top Qatari officials including SheikhTamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Sheikh Abdullah Bin Hamad Al Thani, and Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani who are respectively Emir of Qatar, the deputy Emir and the foreign minister of the country, extended messages of congratulations to President Raisi.

Meanwhile, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, in a message to the government and people of Iran, congratulated the anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution and emphasized developing friendly and historical relations between the two countries.

He also hailed the interaction between the two countries in trade, economy, transportation and other fields.

Saudi Arabia’s King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud also sent congratulatory messages to the Iranian president.

They wished further progress and prosperity for the government and people of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko also congratulated the anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution in a message to President Raisi.

According to IRNA's report from the Iranian Embassy in Minsk, Lukashenko stated in his message, "Throughout the years following the victory of the Islamic Revolution, the people of Iran have emphasized their right to move forward on the path of development, independently chosen."

Lukashenko remarked, "Belarus and Iran are systematically expanding mutually beneficial cooperation based on principles of respect and mutual understanding."

In an official statement on Sunday, Nicaragua also congratulated the anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution and underlined its commitment to continue friendship, brotherhood and cooperation with Iran.

The people of Iran and Nicaragua have common views in defending their fundamental rights and in creating a world full of peace, justice and prosperity, the Nicaraguan government said in an statement.

In separate messages, kings of Spain, Thailand, and Brunei congratulated Iran's President on the victory anniversary of the Islamic Revolution.

Also, the presidents of Russia, Nicaragua, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Poland, Türkiye, Sri Lanka, the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Philippines, Ghana, Uruguay, Guinea, and Malawi congratulated  Raisi on the occasion.

In their congratulatory messages to the Iranian President, the president of the Swiss Confederation and the Prime Minister of Thailand extended congratulations on the occasion as well.
