Amirabdollahian, who is on a visit to Lebanon, made the comments on Saturday at a press conference with Iranian and Lebanese reporters, briefing them on the result of his talks with senior officials in Beirut.
Iran and Lebanon share common views on regional issues, he said, adding that it is understood that the region is moving towards political stability despite Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his cabinet’s will to continue the war.
Since the beginning of the crisis, we have said that war will not be a solution, the Iranian foreign minister said, adding that it is clear to everybody that the end of the war means the end of Netanyahu and the Zionist regime.
Amirabdollahian said that Netanyahu is attempting to use the White House as a tool in order to remain in power for a longer period.
He added that the Israeli prime minister will not be able to fight at two fronts, and that the Israeli regime cannot image how powerful Lebanon’s Hezbollah resistance movement is.
He warned that any move by the Israeli regime to launch an attack against Lebanon would seal the fate of Netanyahu.
“Lebanon’s resistance, military and resilient people will obstruct the realization of such ideas,” Amirabdollahian said.
Pointing to his earlier meeting with the secretary general of the Hezbollah resistance movement, the Iranian foreign minister said exchanging views with Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah has always been a focal point of the Islamic Republic in regional developments.
Regarding tensions in the Red Sea, Iran’s top diplomat said Yemen follows a specific roadmap, which he said was to exert pressure on the Israeli regime to halt its genocide and crimes against Palestinians in Gaza.
“Iran strongly supports the security of navigation and shipping, and we also benefit from trade by sea and shipping,” he emphasized.
Yemeni armed forces have been targeting Israeli-linked ships and those bound to the occupied territories since mid-November in solidarity with the Palestinians in Gaza.
Tensions further escalated when the United States and the United Kingdom began the ongoing coordinated airstrikes against Yemeni targets on January 11.
“The US and the US, in a wrong approach, extended the war to the Red Sea. Peace and tranquility in the Red Sea depend on stopping the war and crisis in Gaza,” Amirabdollahian said.
He said the joint US and Israeli aggression and genocide in Gaza pushed the region into its current situation.
“We believe that the future of the region will be determined in such a way that peace, stability and lasting security will be established,” he added.
