-- Oil minister inaugurates seven energy projects in SW province of Khuzestan
Iranian Oil Minister Javad Owji inaugurated seven projects in the fields of oil and gas in the southwestern province of Khuzestan on Tuesday.
By launching the projects, a total of 150,000 barrels of oil as well as 28 million cubic meters of gas were added to the production capacity of the country on a daily basis
-- Iran among top six countries loading radioactive sources: AEOI
Iran is among the only six countries globally in loading gamma radioactive sources in large irradiation facilities, announced the deputy head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI).
Pejman Shirmardi told IRNA on Tuesday that the AEOI has achieved the technology to carry out that process in a short time frame and render high-quality results.

The Iranian Labor Ministry is committed to complying with standards set by the International Labor Organization (ILO), said the Iranian labor minister on Tuesday.
Speaking at a conference on work safety training, Solat Mortazavi added, “All of us have a responsibility to reduce workplace accidents, so we must make the utmost effort to increase the level of safety at workplaces,” .

-- Saudi, Iran Military Officials Stress Boosting Defense Ties
Senior Iranian and Saudi military officials have held talks over cooperation between the two countries in security and defense areas. Brigadier General Bahman Behmard, deputy head of operations at the General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, and Saudi Chief of General Staff General Fayyad bin Hamed al-Ruwaili met on the sidelines of the World Defense Show 2024 in Riyadh.
During the meeting, Behmard highlighted Iran’s defense and military capabilities and expressed the country’s readiness to develop relations with Saudi Arabia.
-- Two Terrorists Captured in Iran’s Sistan and Baluchestan
Iran’s police have identified and detained two members of the terrorist groups of Daesh and the so-called Ansar al-Furqan in the country’s southeastern province of Sistan and Baluchestan.
Police spokesman General Saeed Montazer-al-Mahdi said on Tuesday that the arrests were made in a technical and complex operation over the past 24 hours.

Thailand’s first exhibition including 24 Qur’anic paintings and more than 20 handicrafts with Qur’anic identity by Iranian artists has opened here.

-- Iran exporting hemodialysis machines to four countries
An Iranian knowledge-based company has managed to export hemodialysis machines to four countries namely Afghanistan, Syria, Iraq, and Indonesia.
A hemodialysis machine used in dialysis filters a patient's blood to remove excess water and waste products when the kidneys are damaged, dysfunctional, or missing. The dialysis machine itself can be thought of as an artificial kidney.
-- Monthly road transit record broken after 10 years
The head of Iran Road Maintenance and Transportation Organization (RMTO) announced that the record of monthly transit of goods via Iran’s roads was broken in the tenth month of the current Iranian calendar year (December 22, 2023-Jnuary 20, 2024), after ten years.
Dariush Amani also announced that 11.4 million tons of commodities were transited through the roads of the country during the first ten months of the present year (March 21, 2023-January 20, 2024), indicating 46 percent growth, as compared to the same period of time in the past year, the Ministry of Transport and Urban Development reported.
-- Iran Media Expo to be held after six-year halt
The 24th edition of the Iran Media Expo is set to take place at Tehran’s Imam Khomeini Mosalla from February 18 to 21, marking its return after a six-year break, announced the organizers.
At a press conference in Tehran on Tuesday, Farshad Mehdipour, the Deputy Minister of Media and Advertising at the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, revealed that the Iran Media Expo, previously known as Press Exhibition, will make a comeback with new changes and advancements.
