Kharrazi and al-Anzi, the first Saudi ambassador in Iran since the resumption of diplomatic relations between Tehran and Riyadh in March last year, met on Sunday in the Iranian capital.
They highlighted the will of senior officials of Iran and Saudi Arabia to tap into the immense potential of their respective countries to promote bilateral relations.
They also expressed concern over the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip, where the Israeli regime has been waging a genocidal war for nearly four months, and stressed the need for cessation of hostilities against the Palestinians.
Kharrazi and al-Anzi agreed that Muslim countries must do more to deliver humanitarian aid to the besieged Palestinian territory.
