Hashem Saffiedine, who is the chairman of the Hezbollah Executive Council, was speaking on Thursday in a ceremony commemorating a Hezbollah martyr, according to a Thursday IRNA report citing Lebanon’s Al-Manar TV.
He said that Hezbollah is fully prepared and has possessed new weapons which “will make the enemy think about their impact and significance.”
Hashem Saffiedine’s comments come amid reports that the Israeli regime is preparing to wage a war against Lebanon.
Hezbollah and Israel have already been engaged in clashes limited to areas at Lebanon’s southern border with the northern occupied territories since the regime unleashed its war on Gaza on October 7.
The Lebanese resistance movement has said that its fighting with Israel is aimed at providing support to the Palestinian resistance fighters battling the regime inside Gaza.
In the latest development in Hezbollah-Israel clashes, the resistance movement carried out a missile attack on a radar station of the regime in the occupied Shebaa Farms, according to Qatar-based Al Jazeera news network.
Also on Thursday, Hezbollah announced that one of its fighters had been killed in fighting with the Israeli regime forces in Beit Lif village, south Lebanon.
