Al-Houthi, a member of Yemen’s Supreme Political Council, issued the statement on Monday, hours after a drone hit the Al-Tanf base in Jordan, near Syria’s border, killing three American soldiers and injuring over three dozens more.
"The attack on a military base in the northeast of Jordan is a clear message about the discontent with the American policy in the Arab world," he said.
The Yemeni official added that the US government should understand the message of the attack on its base.
Following that attack, US officials, including President Joe Biden promised that Washington would respond to the attack, without specifying who were behind the incident.
Earlier, the White House held an emergency security meeting and President Biden and Vice-President Kamala Harris were informed about the latest developments regarding the drone attack.
