Hezbollah uses new guided missile against Israeli regime

Tehran, IRNA – Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah used a new missile system in its attacks against Israeli positions in the north of the occupied territories on Friday. Now, Beirut-based Al Mayadeen news network, affiliated to Hezbollah, has released new details about the missile system.

The newly unveiled missile, which was used to target a spying dome at the Israeli regime military’s Jal Al-Alam base, is an advanced missile system, according to a Saturday IRNA report citing Al Mayadeen.

The news network said that the missile, which can be used in combat operations, is capable of hitting invisible targets, while the weapon itself may not be detected by drones.

Also, the missile has high-level penetration, as it has an empty body but an adaptable warhead carrying munitions.

According to Al Mayadeen, the missile can be launched either by a fixed or portable launcher or a special drone. It has a camera, and operates and detects its targets via TV guidance.

There has been no official statement from Hezbollah about the type of the missile used in the Friday attack. The resistance movement only released footage of its attack against Jal Al-Alam base, saying that the operation was conducted using a special guided missile.

Hezbollah has been engaged in operations against Israeli positions at Lebanon’s border since October 8, a day after the regime unleashed its war on Gaza following Al Aqsa Storm Operation by the Palestinian resistance movement, Hamas, earlier that day.

Hezbollah says it has inflicted heavy losses on the regime, but Israeli authorities hide real numbers of military fatalities and the extent of the material damage caused.

The movement has also time and again said that its operations targeting the northern parts of the occupied territories are aimed at providing support to the Palestinian resistance fighters battling Israeli forces in Gaza, which is located at the border with the southern parts of the Israeli-occupied land.
