Supporters of terrorism unable to disrupt Iran-Pakistan ties: Envoy

Islamabad, IRNA – The Iranian ambassador to Islamabad has underlined that the administration of President Ebrahim Raisi attaches great importance to the consolidation of ties with neighboring countries, adding that terrorists and their supporters will never be able to disrupt Iran’s amicable relationship with Pakistan.

Reza Amiri Moghadam made the remarks in an exclusive interview with IRNA correspondent in Islamabad on Saturday, saying that terrorists see their existence in wreaking havoc in relations between friendly and neighboring states. 

so, their recent moves triggered military action against these anti-security groups.

The ambassador argued that Iran and Pakistan have always enjoyed proper relations, adding that Pakistan has a special position for Iran because of commonalities the two countries have when it comes to bilateral and international issues.

Amiri Moghadam went on to say that an Iranian economic delegation visited Islamabad this summer, adding that an upcoming visit by Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian to Pakistan is part of routine meetings between the authorities of the brotherly nations.

At an official invitation by Islamabad, Amirabdollahian is going to visit Pakistan on January 29.
