Despite interpretations of some countries based on unilateralist inclinations, there is no restriction on Iran’s scientific activities in the area of space, Nasser Kanaani said on Saturday.
The Islamic Republic of Iran has an absolute right to have access to scientific and research achievements, he said adding that such comments would not prevent the determined Iranian nation from achieving more successes.
In his remarks, the spokesman said the Islamic Republic strongly rejects such abnormal attitudes.
He went on to say that the Islamic Republic preserves its right to use peaceful technology in line with upgrading its scientific development, so the country does not care about comments of certain countries which are after imposing their opinion on others.
On January 20, Iranian Space Agency announced it had successfully placed a home-made satellite into space's orbit. The satellite, dubbed Sorayya which means Pleiades, a space constellation, in Persian, was placed into an orbit of 750 kilometers above the earth’s surface.
Commenting on the issue, London, Paris, and Berlin said it would let Iran test a technology for developing its ballistic missile program.
