President Raisi: Niger to see brilliant future by relying on own capacity

Tehran, IRNA – Iran’s President Ebrahim Raisi says the Muslim nation of Niger has a brilliant future ahead by relying on its own capabilities and self-esteem.

President Raisi made the remarks in a meeting with Prime Minister of Niger Ali Lamine Zeine in Tehran on Thursday, appreciating Niger’s efforts in the path of independence and freedom.

On the dark history of the US and certain Western states in looting the wealth and resources of other nations under the guise of protecting human rights and security, Raisi noted that the ongoing situation in Gaza reveals the true nature of the self-styled human rights advocates.

But Iran’s ties with Nigeria and other African nations are beyond political and diplomatic relations, and based on amicable and brotherly interactions, the president stated.

The Iranian chief executive also emphasized that there is no obstacle in the way of developing cooperation between Iran and Niger, expressing readiness to exchange experiences and capacities in energy, industry, and mine, as well as the export of technical and engineering services.

Niger’s premier, for his part, highlighted Iran’s role and position in regional and international equations, pointing to religious commonalities between the two nations as a basis for the expansion of ties.

He also described Iran as a reliable partner for Niger, expressing his country’s readiness for deepening and developing of relationship with Tehran.
