IRNA’s Arabic Service Reporter Leila Mousazadeh interviewed Arab people from different countries in Doha, Qatar, where the AFC Asian Cup is taking place.
The interviewees from Iraq, Oman, Algeria and elsewhere hailed Yemen as “the land of great men”, praising its people for their perseverance and might in the face of the world’s oppressors, and for their strong support of the Palestinians.
Yemen has been the target of US-led airstrikes over the past two weeks over what Washington and its allies have described as threats to international shipping in the Red Sea.
The Yemeni government has rejected their claim, saying that its armed forces have only targeted Israeli-linked ships since mid-November in an effort to pressure the Israeli regime to stop its genocide in Gaza. Yemen has said that, despite the US-led aggression, it will continue its Red Sea operations until the Gaza war ends.
