Raisi made the remark on Sunday in a meeting with Burkina Faso’s New Ambassador to Tehran Mohammadi Kaboureh who submitted his credentials to the Iranian president.
Referring to the Israeli regime’s crimes against Palestinians in Gaza, Raisi said that the United States and some other Western countries as well as the Zionist regime are the root cause of terrorism despite claiming that they fight terrorist groups.
The new ambassador of Burkina Faso, for his part, voiced his country’s willingness for further expansion of ties with Iran and expressed hope that he could take positive steps in this regard during his term in Tehran.
