Biden's plan aims to sabotage Palestinian cause: PFLP

Tehran, IRNA- The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, in a statement, denounced US President Joe Biden’s proposal on a Palestinian state, saying the plan aims to exclude all Palestinian problems.

The statement from the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine called the US government a partner in the crimes being perpetrated and committed by the Zionist regime against the Palestinian people.

“The proposals of the American war criminal President Biden regarding the establishment of a military-less Palestinian state is a new plot to ignore the Palestinian cause and an attempt to save the Zionist regime from its [Gaza] quagmire”, Palestine Al-Youm quoted the PFLP statement.

“Our people are against every plan and idea presented by this criminal [US] government in the framework of conspiracies against the Palestinian cause and an open support for the Zionist regime” the statement added.

The statement followed Biden’s remarks on Saturday on the so-called two-state solution for Israel and Palestine, which he said was not impossible during the term of Zionist Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

In response to a question from a reporter that whether a two-state solution is impossible while Netanyahu is in power, Biden said: No, it is not!

That despite the fact that Netanyahu, a close ally of Biden on Thursday night rejected any plan to establish an independent Palestinian state after the end of the Gaza war and said he had informed his opposition on the issue to the United States.

Netanyahu said that Israel "must have military control over all the territory west of the Jordan [River]", saying he had made this clear to "American friends".

Seeking a more permanent solution to the decades-long Israeli-Palestinian conflict that forms the backdrop of Israel's current genocidal war on Gaza, the United States has pushed the regime for steps toward a Palestinian state.

But the Zionist premier appearing to be at odds on the issue of the US-proposed two-state solution to follow the regime's bloodshed in Gaza.

Experts believe that the United States does have some leverage over its main West Asian ally, given that Israel has been the main beneficiary of the US foreign policy since World War II, but Washington has failed to tame a regime it has nurtured for decades to turn into a monster.
