-- Chabahar project compensation proposed

Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi in a meeting with Indian Minister of External Affairs Subrahmanyam Jaishankar on Monday, stressed the need to accelerate the implementation of agreements signed between the two countries, including on the Chabahar port development project, as well as the need to compensate for the delay in the fulfillment of commitments.
The president pointed to the deep-rooted relations between his country and India and emphasized the importance of efforts to improve the level of bilateral relations in various political, economic, science and technology, transportation, and energy sectors.

--  Pakistan, Iran ready to raise bilateral trade to $5b: Ambassador


Pakistan’s Ambassador to Iran Mudassar Tipu expressed the readiness of Islamabad and Tehran to raise bilateral trade to $5 billion as the two sides have recently signed a five-year agreement on strategic and economic cooperation.
During his visit to Bandar Abbas, southern Iran, where a Pakistani convoy of warships has docked, Tipu said his country prioritizes the promotion of trade relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran.

--  Iran’s oil output hiked most in OPEC in 2023

Iran had the highest oil production increase among members of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) in 2023 with over 300,000 barrels of oil per day (bpd) rise, according to the US Department of Energy.
In its latest report, the US Department of Energy put Iran’s average daily oil production volume in 2023 at 2.870 million bpd.

--  Exports of Iranian Non-Oil Products to Iraq Grow 30% in 8 Months

A member of the Iran-Iraq Joint Chamber of Commerce said that $6.2 billion worth of non-oil goods were exported from Iran to Iraq in the first eight months of the current Iranian calendar year (started March 21, 2023), registering a 30% hike compared to the same period in 2022.
Given the considerable increase in the bilateral trade exchanges, it is predicted that the country’s export of products to Iraq will hit a new record of $10 billion by the yearend (to end March 20, 2024), Hamid Husseini stated.

--  OPEC: Iran Record Holder of Oil Output Hike in 2023

Iran was the record holder of oil production increase among members of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) in 2023 with 330,000 barrels of oil per day (bpd) rise, according to the U.S. Department of Energy.
In its latest report, the U.S. Department of Energy put Iran’s average daily oil production volume in 2023 at 2.870 million bpd.

--  Official: Domestic, Foreign Firms Ready to Invest at Makran Coast

The managing director of Iran’s New Towns Development Company Alireza Jafari said on Monday that ten domestic companies and a number of foreign firms have expressed their readiness to invest in the Makran coastal region.
Jafari said that the comprehensive investment package for the development of the Makran coast will be compiled by the end of the current Iranian calendar year (March 20, 2024).

--  Iranian Navy enjoys growing presence in region, says captain

Captain Ghader Vazifeh, deputy commander of the first naval district of the Islamic Republic of Iranian Navy, says the expansion of the Iranian Navy's activities into international waters marks a shift in regional security dynamics, eliminating the need for foreign naval presence in the area.

Speaking at a ceremony in Bandar Abbas port city to enhance relations between the naval forces of Iran and Pakistan, the captain stressed the growing presence of the Iranian Navy in territorial waters and beyond. He expressed that regional security can be effectively maintained by the countries in the region, rendering foreign naval presence unnecessary.

--  Arabic editions of Leader’s books released in Lebanon

The Arabic editions of eight recently published books by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, are now available to Arabic-speaking readers in Lebanon.

The Cultural Attaché Office of Iran in Lebanon has released eight Arabic books by the Leader, with a focus on the role of Muslim women.

--  Iran, India reach final agreement on Chabahar port development

Iran and India reached the final agreement for the development of Iran’s southeastern Chabahar port in Tehran on Monday.

The agreement to develop the strategic port was reached during a meeting between Iranian Transport and Urban Development Minister Mehrdad Bazrpash and Indian Minister of External Affairs Subrahmanyam Jaishankar.
