Pakistan, Iran ready to raise trade to $5bl: Ambassador

Bandar Abbas, IRNA – Pakistan’s Ambassador to Iran Mudassar Tipu has expressed the readiness of Islamabad and Tehran to raise trade exchange to five billion dollars as the two have recently signed a five-year document on strategic and economic cooperation.

During his visit to Bandar Abbas, southern Iran, where a Pakistani convoy of warships docked, Tipu said his country prioritizes promotion of trade relations with the Islamic Republic. Pakistan and Iran are committed to maintain peace and stability in the region, the ambassador underlined.

He went on to stress that relations between his country and Iran carry a message of solidarity, peace, and happiness to the region.

He also expressed satisfaction over the growing ties between the two neighboring nations.

The Pakistani convoy of warships docked at the First Naval Region of the Iranian Army in the country's southern waters on Saturday (January 13) to represent peace and friendship.

The Pakistani flotilla docked in the southern Iranian port of Bandar Abbas to expand friendly relations and improve the level of educational interactions between the Iranian and Pakistani navies, as well as to communicate a message of peace and friendship to countries of the region.
