Nasriev met with Amir-Abdollahian at the headquarters of the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Sunday as he officially started his diplomatic mission in Tehran.
The diplomat has served in various posts and missions run by Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs over the past 25 years.
He was the Consul General of Uzbekistan in the city of Kazan, Russia, before being appointed as ambassador to Iran.
