Addressing the families of the captives, the al-Qassam Brigades tells them in its video that the cabinet of prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu has made no efforts to release their loved ones over the past years and continues to be ignorant of them.
The Hamas military wing also warned that it has lost connection with the fighters in charge of guarding the captive soldiers after the ongoing war on Gaza broke out on October 7.
The four soldiers, identified as Abraham Mengistu, Hisham al-Sayed, Hadar Golden and Shaul Aaron, have been held in captivity in Gaza since 2014 when Israeli waged a war on the besieged Palestinian territory.
The Israeli regime had announced that Hadar Golden and Shaul Aaron were killed in Gaza, with their bodies held by the al-Qassam Brigades.
The Palestinian group however released a video dubbed “Your government is a liar” in July 2022, which showed the two captives.
The Palestinian resistance movement is also holding 105 Israeli captives who are among nearly 240 people whom Hamas took captive during its unprecedented Al-Aqsa Storm Operation on October 7.
