Gaza crisis worsens amid continued Israeli onslaught: UNRWA

Tehran, IRNA- The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA) warned that the crisis in Gaza has worsened as Israel is using water, food and fuel as tools of its war on the besieged strip.

UNRWA said “the children of Gaza are particularly facing terrible problems and suffering, and the recovery (mental and physical) of an entire generation of them needs years”, as quoted by the Palestinian Sama news agency,

The statement is published hours after Josep Burrell, the European Union's foreign policy official, talked to the UNRWA chief who said the conversation was “focused on the situation in Gaza”.

Children remain more vulnerable. Some 2 million Gazans or 85% of the population of this strip, have now been forcibly displaced as a result of continuous Israeli bombings and shelling that have turned the coastal territory into the rubble. Of these, 1 million 400 thousand cases are under the supervision of UNRWA.

The Zionist regime, with the full support of Western countries, the US in particular, launched a massive massacre in Gaza and martyred thousands of Palestinian civilians making the October 7th "Al-Aqsa Flood " operation a pretext.

The Palestinian death toll is now approaching 24,000 in the barbaric attacks the Zionist regime has continues for the last 100 days.
