Al-Qassam Brigades says killed some Israeli soldiers, destroyed tanks

Tehran, IRNA - The Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of the Hamas resistance movement, has said its fighters have killed some Israeli soldiers on the battlefield in the central city of Khan Yunis in southern Gaza.

According to Palestinian sources on Saturday, Al-Qassam announced that its fighters destroyed two Merkava tanks, as well as a bulldozer of the Israeli army, by using Showaz bombs in the central city of Khan Yunis in southern Gaza.

The Al-Qassam combatants also directly targeted Israeli military forces and killed two Zionists on the battlefield.

In another operation, al-Qassam fighters destroyed an armored vehicle belonging to the Israeli army's special forces carrying four of the regime's soldiers advancing toward the tunnel in the east of Khan Yunis, killing and wounding the soldiers.

The Qassam Brigades added that it targeted the special forces of the Zionist regime with TBG mortars.

Combatants of al-Qassam Brigades also targeted an Israeli infantry force with a Thunder rocket in the east of Khan Yunis, killing and wounding the soldiers.

Earlier today, there have been intense armed clashes between Hamas fighters and the Israeli army, during which Hamas fighters are targeting Israeli army units with anti-armor bullets and RPG bullets.

Also, al-Qassam Brigades has announced that its fighters destroyed four tanks and one personnel carrier of the Zionist regime and fired a surface-to-air missile at the regime's helicopter.

The Zionist regime waged the war on the Gaza strip on October 7 after the Gaza-based Palestinian resistance groups of Hamas carried out the surprise Operation Al-Aqsa Storm into the occupied territories in response to the occupying regime’s intensified crimes against the Palestinian people.

At least 23,708 Palestinians, most of them women and children, have been killed in the war, and more than 60,050 individuals injured.

Tel Aviv has also imposed a “complete siege” on Gaza, cutting off fuel, electricity, food, and water to the more than two million Palestinians living there.
