Raisi made the remarks in a meeting in Tehran on Monday with Rustam Emomali, chairman of the National Assembly of Tajikistan.
The president expressed satisfaction with the growing ties between Iran and Tajikistan over the past two years and said that expansion of parliamentary cooperation is crucial to political and economic cooperation.
Underlining the significance for Iran and Tajikistan to cooperate in the fight against terrorism, organized crimes and drug trafficking, President Raisi stressed that all regional countries have to join hands in countering terrorist groups, including Daesh.
The Tajik official, for his part, referred to the rising volume of trade between Iran and Tajikistan over the past two years, and said that regional insecurity is a source of concern for both countries which could undermine bilateral trade.
Emomali also voiced his country’s support for the formation of an independent Palestinian state, condemning Zionist massacre of over 22,000 civilians in Palestine.
