Hospitals discharge more from those injured in Kerman terrorist attacks

Kerman, IRNA – The head of the emergency department in Iran's city of Kerman has said that the number of those who were hospitalized in the medical centers in the city after the January 3 terrorist blasts targeting mourners of Martyr Soleimani has dropped to 55 from 284.

Mohammad Saberi told IRNA on Monday that some 24 inured in the blasts are still in Special Care Units (SCU) in the hospitals in Kerman.

He also said that 25 of people still hospitalized because of Kerman attacks are women and 10 are children under 15.

He added that 14 of the patients are in intense care units (ICU).

Twin suicide attacks occurred in Kerman on January 3, 2024, killing some 91 people and wounding 284 others.

The terrorist group Daesh (ISIS) has claimed responsibility for the attacks that targeted people who were on their way to visit the grave of Martyr Soleimani four years after he was assassinated in a US drone strike in the Iraqi capital Baghdad.
