The council also offered condolences to families of the victims and called for punishing those behind the explosions, which according to the Iranian Health Ministry, left 84 people dead.
On Wednesday, Sunni clerics in North Khorasan province also issued a statement, calling on Iranian security and judicial bodies to firmly deal with the perpetrators of the blasts.
Prominent Iranian Sunni leader and the Friday prayer leader of Sunnis Makki Mosque in Zahedan, Molavi Abdul Hamid, also strongly condemned the terrorist attack, describing it as shocking.
The Daesh (ISIS) terrorist group has claimed responsibility for the attacks.
