Referring to the order of Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei on the need to make progress at universities and fill the gaps in politics and culture, Mohammad-Reza Hassani-Ahangar said the Imam Hossein University has taken detailed measures to resolve the countries’ issues.
Asked what elements have placed the university at second rank among the countries’ universities, he said the design of the university is to play a role in the creation of Islamic civilization.
“At first, we did not think of participating in the ranking system,” he said. “We were more interested in staffing, organizing and supporting the IRGC’s missions in the Islamic Revolution, which has been achieved to a large extent.”
“In addition, we were trying to present the good work done at Imam Hossein University regarding the presentation of the statistical model and becoming the top Islamic university to the academic community. For this reason, we participated in the ISC ranking system and managed to clinch the second rank in the six assessment and evaluation components such as education, research, technology and innovation, economic effectiveness and internationalization, and infrastructure and social activities.”
Hassani-Ahangar further noted that Imam Hossein University can exchange its scientific experiences with foreign scientific centers and make these achievements available to those governments and nations to resolve their problems.
The Imam Hossein Comprehensive University was established in 1986. More than twenty years later, the Imam Hossein Cadet College was separated from the academic division with the approval of the Supreme Leader. The academic division offers MA and PhD studies in majors approved by the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology.
