--  Iran: Assassination Will Not Save Israel From Annihilation

Israel’s assassination of a senior military advisor of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) in Syria will in no way help the “wicked and fake” regime continue to survive, Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman said Monday.
Addressing reporters at his weekly press conference here, Nasser Kanaani condemned Tel Aviv’s assassination of Brigadier General Seyyed Razi Mousavi, who was serving as a military advisor in Syria, emphasizing that such acts will not benefit the Zionist regime in any way.

--  Iraqi, Iranian Forces to Hold Joint Parade in Border River 

The voluntary mobilization forces from Iran and Iraq are going to attend a joint maritime parade at a border river on Wednesday on the anniversary of the martyrdom of Lt. General Qassem Soleimani.

The joint maritime parade will be held at the Arvand international waterway on January 3, the fourth anniversary of martyrdom of General Soleimani and Iraqi commander Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis.

--  Holy Defense Books Rendered Into Azerbaijani, English

Five books on Iranian Sacred Defense have been translated into English and Azerbaijani Turkish and published in the northwestern city of Ardabil. The term, Sacred Defense generally refers to the eight-year war former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein imposed on Iran from 1980 to 1988.
The books released by Khatte 8 Publishing include “From Hijla to Haram’. It is the biography of Ali Aqaei, an Iranian combatant martyred in Syria, authored by Laila Nazari and translated from Persian to English by Mehdi Farahani.

--  Golmohammadi steps down as Persepolis head coach

 Persepolis head coach Yahya Golmohammadi stepped down on Monday from his role. He has resigned from his role due to financial problems. Golmohammadi was going to strengthen Persepolis in the January transfer window but it seems the club have failed to meet his expectations.

Persepolis, the most decorated Iranian football team, are going to defend their title but they have the difficult task ahead since Esteghlal, Sepahan and Tractor are also title contenders in the 2023/24 Iran’s Persian Gulf Pro League (PGPL) season.

--  Iran exports products worth $6.9b to Iraq in 9 months

 Iran exported commodities valued at $6.9 billion to Iraq during the first nine months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21-Decemebr 21, 2023), the head of the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) announced. According to Mohammad Rezvanifar, Iraq was the second top export destination of Iranian products in the mentioned nine-month period.

As previously announced by an official with Iran’s Trade Promotion Organization (TPO), the value of Iran’s export to Iraq increased by 15 percent in the past Iranian calendar year 1401 (ended on March 20, 2023).

-- Persepolis still harbors numerous mysteries, documentarist says

Iranian filmmaker Pejman Mazaheripur, whose new documentary on Persepolis was screened at the Cinema Museum of Iran on Sunday evening, says the majestic UNESCO-registered site still harbors numerous unrevealed mysteries.

Addressing the attendees during the screening of his film, Mazaheripur expressed his belief that despite extensive research and numerous documentaries about Persepolis, there remain untold stories and unexplored facets waiting for researchers and filmmakers to delve into.
