A hacking team claimed earlier on Sunday it had stolen data from snappfood and even announced for the sale of subscribers’ information.
Colonel Ramin Pashaei, the deputy head of Iran’s cyber police, confirmed the reports and said a police expert team is now in Snappfood headquarters in Tehran and is examining different technical dimensions of the case.
He said that Snappfood is still providing services to the customers.
Snappfood officials have also ensured the customers that their banking information could not be hacked as the regulations by the Central Bank of Iran (CBI) do not allow the platforms to save these data.
