Israel to pay for assassinating IRGC advisor, Raisi tells martyr’s family

Tehran, IRNA - Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi has strongly condemned the assassination of Seyyed Razi Mousav, a senior military advisor of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) in Syria, saying the heinous crime committed by the Zionist regime will not go unanswered.

President Raisi visited the family of the martyr without prior notice on Sunday, offering his condolences to his family, IRNA reported.

Raisi highlighted the sacrifices and dedication of the martyrs, emphasizing that their selflessness and martyrdom form the cornerstone of the country's security and power.

He added that the services and sacrifices of this great commander in supporting and strengthening the Islamic resistance front will forever remain honored.

The president continued by condemning the cowardly act of the Zionist regime, attributing it to its incompetence and frustration in the face of the resistance front in the region.

“Certainly, this crime will not go unanswered, and the Zionist criminals will pay for this crime,” he added.

Mousavi was assassinated in an Israeli airstrike in a Damascus neighborhood. He was in Syria on a military advisory mission.
