Solangi met and held talks with Amiri Moghaddam in Islamabad, Pakistan, on Thursday.
The two sides emphasized the importance of cooperation in the commercial and economic sectors, especially in the areas of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and the East-West corridor, and ports, and called for expanding cultural and media ties between Tehran and Islamabad.
Referring to the existing memorandum of cooperation between the official Pakistan News Agency and the Islamic Republic News Agency, Solangi said that such agreements are on the agenda of the governments of Iran and Pakistan to strengthen media cooperation between the two countries, especially in the field of film, cinema, literary and linguistic institutions. He also mentioned that Pakistan is calling for strengthening economic ties with Iran.
Amiri Moghaddam, for his part, said that developing relations between the authorities of the two countries provides a suitable condition for trade and investment activities.
