-- Relations with Europe reviving: MP
A member of the Iranian Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Committee said Iran and the European countries are reviving their relations, which had been damaged following last year’s unrest in Iran. In an interview with Iran Daily, Jalil Rahimi Jahanabadi said that the Europeans’ miscalculation of Iran’s social conditions and last year’s unrest in the country led to taking hardline and aggressive stances against Iran, followed by poor relations between Tehran and some European countries.
Jahanabadi said that the biased approach adopted by the Western media which spread lies about Iran had greatly affected Europeans’ analysis of the situation in Iran.
-- Tehran, Dushanbe seek €500m in trade
The head of the international affairs department of Iran’s Ministry of Energy said that Iran and Tajikistan have targeted to boost annual trade to €500 million.
The two countries have witnessed considerable growth in bilateral trade during the administration of President Ebrahim Raisi, while more than $91 million worth of non-oil products were exported from Iran to Tajikistan over the past two years, Mojtaba Akbari told IRNA.
-- Some 1,100 Iranian firms producing medical equipment: Deputy minister
Iran’s deputy minister of industry, mine and trade for industrial affairs put the number of companies manufacturing medical equipment and machinery at 1,100.
Most of the medical equipment and machinery produced by these companies meet European standards, noted Mohammad Mousavi.

-- MP: Iran to Report Sweden to ICJ Over Nouri’s Case
The chairwoman of the Human Rights Committee at the Iranian parliament said Sunday the country will file a complaint with the International Court of Justice (ICJ) against Sweden’s judiciary for illegally prosecuting and handing life imprisonment to former official Hamid Nouri.
Zohreh Elahian made the remarks, a few days after the Stockholm Court of Appeals upheld a life sentence for Nouri, who was arrested in 2019 under unfounded allegations of human rights violations.
-- Navy Gets Cruise Missiles, Electronic Warfare Choppers
The Islamic Republic of Iran Navy on Sunday took delivery of a range of domestically-designed and manufactured military equipment, including strategic cruise missile systems and helicopters furnished with electronic warfare systems.
The new weapons were supplied to the naval forces during a ceremony attended by Chief Commander of the Iranian Army Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi, Iranian Navy Commander Rear Admiral Shahram Irani and other senior military figures in Iran’s southeastern port city of Konarak on Sunday.
--12,000-Person Event Opens to Honor Gen. Soleimani
The opening ceremony of the 12,000-person event titled “At the Time of Love 1:20” was held at the National Museum of the Islamic Revolution and Sacred Defense on Sunday to mark the fourth anniversary of the martyrdom of Gen. Qassem Soleimani.
Gen. Muhammad Ghasem Nazer, managing director of the National Museum of the Islamic Revolution and Sacred Defense, Amir Ghasemi, the head of the tourism headquarters of Tehran Municipality, Nasser Abu Sharif, the representative of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad in Iran, city managers and the families of martyrs and people from other walks of life attended the ceremony.

-“The Golden Thread” by Indian filmmaker Nishtha Jain won the main award of the full-length documentaries category in the international competition section of the 17th International Documentary Film Festival of Iran, known as Cinéma Vérité, at the closing ceremony on Saturday night.
The 82-minute film is a collaborative production of India, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Netherlands, Norway, and the UK.
-- Iran’s export of foodstuffs, agricultural products to Africa up 18%
The value of Iran’s export of foodstuffs and agricultural products to Africa rose 18 percent during the first eight months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21-November 21), the director-general of the Market Study and Development Department of Rural Cooperative Organization announced.
Ruhollah Latifi said that Iran exported 41,000 tons of such products worth $28 million to the African countries in the mentioned eight-month period, which also indicates 34 percent growth in weight, year on year.
