The World Bank said Iran’s economy has continued to grow for the fourth consecutive year, highlighting the success of the Iranian administration in curbing inflation and stabilizing the foreign currency market.
In a new report, the World Bank said the country will continue to experience stable economic growth in the current Iranian year ending on March 19, 2024.

Iran’s production of steel in November 2023 registered a 7.6 percent growth compared to the same month last year, according to figures released by the World Steel Association (WSA).
The 71 major steelmakers in the world produced more than 145.5 million tons of crude steel in November 2023, showing a 3.3 percent hike compared to November 2022. Iranian steelmakers churned out three million tons of crude steel in November 2023, indicating a 7.6 percent hike compared to November 2022.

Iranian experts have detected the malware used by the enemies in their recent cyberattack on the country’s fuel distribution system, the head of the Civil Defense Organization of Iran said on Saturday.
In comments at the opening of an exhibition of domestic civil defense industries on Saturday, Brigadier General Gholam Reza Jalali said Iranian teams of experts identified the malware that disrupted the fuel distribution system at Iran’s gas stations on December 18. The general categorized the malware as an advanced persistent threat (APT), saying it is being analyzed in Iranian laboratories.

-- IRCS, Villa Maraini Foundation hold workshop on reducing addiction harms
A training workshop focusing on lowering harms caused by drug addiction was held with the cooperation of the Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS) and Villa Maraini Foundation of Italy in Tehran on December 19-20.
Pirhossein Kolivand, the head of the IRCS, and Massimo Barra, the head of the Villa Maraini Foundation, met on the sidelines of the event. Kolivand stated that drug users encounter severe health issues, they also suffer from an identity crisis which leads to their exclusion by both their families and society, the IRCS website reported.
