According to the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development & Renovation (IMIDRO), the World Steel Association reported in its latest update titled “November 2023 crude steel production” that Iran could produce 3.0 million tons of crude steel in November, indicating a 7.6% surge compared to the same month in the year before; so, the country continues to maintain the tenth position in global steel production given the level of fabrication.
However, 71 main world steelmakers manufactured more than 145.5 million tons of crude steel in November 2023, indicating a 3.3% increase compared to the same month last year.
The volume of Iran's steel production from January to the end of November 2023 reached 28.1 million tons, showing a 0.6% jump compared to November 2022.
