Over 26 years ago, the ranking with 851 scientific productions was 54th, Peyman Salehi, the deputy Minister of Research, Science, and Technology for research affairs, said at a ceremony held in Tehran on Sunday on the occasion of the national research day which falls on December 16.
Meanwhile, the foothold reached 15th in 2022 in the world with regard to presenting 78,000 scientific productions, Salehi noted.
As he underlined, the process of scientific production has been growing in Iran.
In a related development, Iran’s Deputy Health Minister for Research and Technology Younes Panahi said in August, 2023, that the country has climbed to 53rd place in terms of technological research from 67th place in 2020.
