Hamas issued its statement on Sunday, describing the decision as courageous, which is in the interest of the Palestinians in the war-hit Gaza Strip.
The Yemeni decision also stands against the “American-Zionist” acts of aggression and genocide of the Palestinian people over the past 64 days, the movement added.
In its statement, Hamas called on Islamic and Arab countries to take action to help lift the Israeli blockade of Gaza and stop crimes by “Nazi occupiers”.
On Saturday, Yemen warned that “all ships in the Red Sea bound for Israeli ports, regardless of their nationality, will become a target for our armed forces” if Gaza does not food and medicine.
Yemen has already prevented the passage of several Israeli ships in the Red Sea and conducted missile and drone strikes on Israeli positions in solidarity with the Palestinians in Gaza.
