-- UK College Halts Ties With Arms Supplier to Israel

A college in Luton, UK has suspended its relationship with the British subsidiary of an Italian aerospace company that supplies components to the Israeli military after hundreds of students walked out of their classes to protest for Palestine. Luton Sixth Form College confirmed on Wednesday that it had suspended all activities with Leonardo following student-led protests against its presence on campus.

-- Senior Iranian Official Underlines Africa’s Role

Decrying the U.S. and Westerners for using force and focusing on their own illegitimate interests in the existing world order, an Iranian deputy foreign minister said a lasting and compressive order cannot be achieved without Africa’s effective role. Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Ali Baqeri presented Iran’s views about peace and security in Africa in a panel in Senegal, attended by his counterparts from France, Germany and Turkey.

-- Eslami: IAEA Responsible for Any Israeli Nuclear Accident

The head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) said here Wednesday the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) bears responsibility for any nuclear accident caused by Israel amid the regime’s repeated threats to use atomic bombs. Speaking on the sidelines of a cabinet meeting, Muhammad Eslami said he had raised the issue of nuclear threats made by Israeli officials with IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi before a meeting of the UN nuclear agency’s Board of Governors.

-- Iran increasing shipping lines from Chabahar to int’l ports: MP

Iran has plans for the development of direct shipping lines between Chabahar port in the southeastern province of Sistan and Baluchestan and other international ports, announced an MP.
Talking to Iran Daily, Moeinoddin Saeidi explained that such measures will lead to an increase in the volume of trade through Chabahar port, but we have a long way to go in using the main capacities of the port. “In the recent two years, the Ports and Maritime Organization of Iran has taken a good step in the development of direct shipping lines with other countries, as during this period, a regular shipping line between Iran and India and a direct shipping line from China to Chabahar have been launched.”

--Iran’s oil output hits 3.1 mbd in October: EIA

In its latest report, the US Energy Information Administration (EIA) said Iran produced 3.1 million barrels of oil per day (mbd) in October 2023, stabilizing its third place in the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC). Iran’s oil production volume increased by 50,000 barrels in October 2023, compared to a month earlier, Shana reported.

--Leader: Hamas upended US agenda in region

Leader of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei said Hamas’ historic Operation Al-Aqsa Storm was mainly against the Zionist regime but was able to disrupt American policies in the region and will hopefully erase the “agenda”. Ayatollah Khamenei made the remarks in a meeting with hundreds of members of Iran’s Basij volunteer forces in Tehran on Wednesday on the occasion of National Basij Week, Press TV reported. He said the United States failed to hatch its plots for the formation of a “New Middle East,” adding that the so-called “two-state solution” in the Palestinian territories was part of the same hostile policy that failed miserably.

-- Strategic navy for powerful Iran

I would like to first send my greetings to our esteemed leader Imam Khamenei, and the souls of our beloved martyrs. I congratulate the noble people of Iran for the anniversary of the successful Morvarid Operation which was carried out on November 28, 1980. The operation, executed through the selfless efforts of the naval forces, managed to eliminate the Ba'athist regime's navy from the Persian Gulf for the entire eight years of war while cutting off the enemy’s economic lifeline. In the meantime, the Iranian navy was able to protect more than ten thousand commercial and oil tankers throughout the war and prevent Iran from facing an oil export crisis.

-- Iranian kurash players win five more medals at world championship

Iranian players won five more medals at the 14th World Kurash Wrestling Championship on Tuesday. Saba Karamali in the women’s -78kg and Fatemeh Barmaki in the women’s +87kg won two bronze medals.

-- Animated movies from Iran honored at Spanish festival

Six Iranian animations have received honorable mentions at the 35th edition of the Girona Film Festival in Spain. Short animated films “Dance of the Wolf” by Behzad Yaghmuri, “The Melody of Loneliness” by Samira Azimian, “Yaar” by Zahra Malayeri, “Why did the Giraffe's flower fade?” by Kaveh Kanani and “King’s Garden” by Iraj Mohammadi Razini received honorable mentions at the festival, the organizers announced last week.
