Legitimate resistance in accordance with international rights is the sole language understandable for the warmongering Zionists, Amirabdollahian said in an interview with Lebanon’s news network Al Mayadeen, IRNA reported early on Wednesday.
Speaking about the latest developments in the world, in the region, and in Iran, Amirabdollahian said his visit to Lebanon and his talks with the Lebanese officials have been fruitful.
“This region is our region and our home,” he said stressing that Iran does not stand on ceremony in ensuring security of the home.
About the humanitarian pause in Gaza, Amirabdollahian said the Islamic Republic respects and supports any decision to be taken by the Palestinian Resistance Movement (Hamas).
“The Resistance and the Palestinian nation are the winners of this war. The Zionist regime and the United States have been the losers till now.”
Asked whether Iran is concerned about the issue of a truce in Gaza, the foreign minister answered that the ceasefire which leads to ceasing the Zionist war crimes will prevent the expansion of war.
He believed, that if a temporary truce does not extend, a continuation of war and aggression against the civilians in Gaza will create new conditions.
Expansion of war could be prevented if the truce continues and if political initiatives guarantee the Palestinian people’s rights, Amirabdollahian underlined.
Asked about the messages Iran has recently received from the United States, Amirabdollahian confirmed the issue stressing the existence of no secrecy about it.
Since the outset of the Zionist aggression against Gaza, the US through its messages to Iran called on the Islamic Republic to advise the groups in Iraq, Syria, and Yemen to not take any actions against the Israeli regime and the US bases, the foreign minister said while reiterating that such groups in the mentioned states take anti-US measures under their own decision. “They do not get permission from us.”
On the question about the remarks of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi in the Islamic countries’ summit that Palestinians should be equipped, Amirabdollahian said the president has called on the Islamic states to equip the Palestinian Resistance to defend the nation, women and children if crime and genocide would not end in Gaza.
In his remarks, Amirabdollahian talked about Iran’s humanitarian aid sent to Egypt through the sea from the first week of the war started on October 7 in Gaza, and called on the Egyptian officials to open the Rafah crossing and not care about the restrictions on the issue.
Elsewhere, he urged China, Russia, and other international players to carefully watch the realities and understand the aftermath of the occupation.
“October 7 is not the root of the present situation in the region, but the Israeli regime’s 75-year occupation is.”
In his remarks, the Iranian foreign minister termed the issue of Palestine as one that turned into an international human question.
In the end, he advised the US to split away from the Zionist crimes before it was too late.
