-- Raisi to submit budget bill to Parliament next week: PBO
Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi will submit a bill to Parliament outlining a draft budget for the Iranian year 1403, which will start on March 20, 2024, announced the head of the Plan and Budget Organization (PBO) on Tuesday.
Davoud Manzour added that the budget bill of 1403 has been prepared in compliance with the goals of the Seventh Economic Development Plan of the country.
-- Iranian NTBFs ready for energy cooperation with Tajikistan
Iranian new technology-based firms (NTBFs) expressed their readiness to enhance cooperation with Tajikistan in all areas, especially in the energy sector.
A conference entitled, “Introducing Iran’s Investment Opportunities in Tajikistan,” was held at the Nirro Research Institute (NRI) in Tehran on Tuesday.

Each year, between 6,000 to 12,000 mammals and birds are captured alive in Iran and are brought to the market or smuggled out of the country, announced the deputy director of natural environment and biodiversity at Iran’s Department of the Environment (DoE).
“The number is high, and the majority of these captured animals leave the country,” said Hassan Akbari.

-- President Raisi to Visit Turkey Soon
President of Iran Ebrahim Raisi will pay an official visit to Turkey in a near future to hold talks with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The presidents of Iran and Turkey will meet after the foreign ministers of the two countries return from a meeting about Gaza issue in New York.
President Raisi’s trip to Ankara, which had been previously announced, is still on the agenda of both countries and will be done.
-- President Raisi Orders Funds for Librarians
President Ebrahim Raisi has ordered the Planning and Budget Organization to allocate funds to solve the livelihood problems of librarians.
Last year, Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Muhammad Mehdi Esmaili had presented suggestions about easy access to books, solving the livelihood problems of the librarian class and restoring their rights in line with the promises of the government.

Bodies of Eight Holy Shrine Defenders Identified
The bodies of eight holy shrine defenders martyred in Syria have been identified through DNA testing. They have been identified as Ali Agha-Abdullahi, Mehdi Zakir Husseini, Elias Chegini, Muhammad Reza Yaghoubi, Gholam Ali Tavalli, Seyyed Mustafa Sadeghi, Hassan Akbari, and Reza Abbasi.
During the Syrian war, they had volunteered to defend the holy shrines in the country and got martyred in the line of duty. Four of the martyrs are for Tehran and the rest are from other provinces, who will be transferred to their hometowns for burial after circumambulation of the Imam Reza Shrine in Mashhad. Farewell ceremony, funeral and burial of these martyrs will be announced later.

Three Iranian short animations are present at the 45th edition of the Festival of 3 Continents in Nantes, France, which was launched on November 24 and will run through December 3.
The flicks are included in the program of three Iranian short films presented at the First Steps Towards the 3 Continents section of the festival along with two more works from Brazil and Senegal.
-- Justice Shares to be allocated to more 5m-6m people: SEO head
The head of Iran’s Securities and Exchange Organization (SEO) announced that “Justice Shares” will be allocated to more five million-six million people by the end of the current Iranian calendar year (March 20, 2024).
Making the remarks in a press conference at the place of the SEO on Tuesday, Majid Eshqi said that the shares of these new people are under review by the government. Justice Shares are a type of social impact bond that aims to finance social programs and projects with the goal of achieving social outcomes.
