Yang Wanming made the comment during his speech at the 14th annual meeting of Iran-China Friendship Association in Tehran on Saturday.
He said that relations between the two countries are progressing and moving forward, with both sides supporting each other in the face of global developments.
Iran and China have constantly been deepening their strategic mutual trust and have been advancing their cooperation, the Chinese official added.
He also hailed efforts by Tehran and Beijing to support international equality and justice, which he said has opened a new chapter in ties between the two sides.
