--  OPEC: Iran’s oil output keeps rising

Iran’s crude oil production continued its rise in October, the latest report of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) showed.
According to OPEC’s Monthly Oil Market Report (MOMR) – November 2023, Iran’s crude output hit 3.115 million barrels per day (mbd) in October, showing a 46,000 bpd increase from a month earlier.
The MOMR statistics show Iran retaining its place as the third-largest producer of OPEC, standing after Saudi Arabia with 8.992m bpd output and Iraq with 4.329m bpd production.

--  Int’l electricity exhibition opened in Tehran

The 23rd Iran International Electricity Exhibition (IEE 2023) kicked off in Tehran on Tuesday. The opening ceremony of the exhibition was attended by senior energy officials including Iranian Energy Minister Ali-Akbar Mehrabian along with the energy ministers of Pakistan and Afghanistan.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Mehrabian said the IEE is a good opportunity for participating foreign companies to visit the huge capacities of Iran as well as having the opportunity to sign contracts with Iranian companies.

--  Iran, Saudi Arabia bankers brace for promoting monetary-banking cooperation

Bank officials from Iran and Saudi Arabia started negotiations to expand monetary, banking and foreign exchange relations between the two countries after a 7-year hiatus.
Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Iran (CBI) for Foreign Currency Affairs Mohammad Aram traveled to Saudi Arabia’s capital of Riyadh on Tuesday to hold talks with his counterpart for the resumption of banking and monetary cooperation.

-- IRCS: Iranians Donate $1.74mn in Cash Aid  to Gaza

Head of the volunteers of the Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS) Vahid Salimi said on Tuesday that cash donations from Iranians to the Palestinian people of Gaza have reached $1.74 million at the end of the fifth week of the donation campaign.

The campaign was launched to collect financial aid for the residents of Gaza and the donations have been deposited into the official accounts of the IRCS in the Central Bank of Iran and Bank Melli. Since the Zionist regime attacked Gaza on October 7, more than 11,000 people, many of them women and children, have lost their lives in the attacks.

-- Qatar Museum Revives Safavid Fashion Splendor (Part I)

Qatar Museum is a pre-eminent institution for art and culture in Qatar, and consists of a vast network of museums, heritage sites, and programs. The network is currently hosting an exhibition titled, Fashioning an Empire: Textiles from Safavid Iran till April 2024. The show consists of a selection of extraordinary textiles from the museum’s collection and will be on view at the Museum of Islamic Art (MIA) in Doha, striving to highlight the importance of silk in the vibrant social, economic, and artistic life of the Safavid Empire in Iran in the 17th century.

--  TUMS Grants Scholarship to Palestinian Students

Head of Iran’s Tehran University of Medical Science (TUMS) Hussein Ghana’ati has approved to grant “Dr. Iyad Shaqura’s scholarship” to two Palestinian students.
The university has condemned Israeli atrocities in Gaza, calling on the international community and all free people of the world to stand in solidarity with the Palestinians and support their right to justice, liberation, and peace.
The scholarships will be granted in memory of Dr. Shaqura’s two children who have been martyred in Israeli airstrikes. Dr. Shaqura has graduated with a PhD in health management from the Tehran University of Medical Sciences.

--  Commander says Army possesses cutting-edge equipment

A senior commander has proudly proclaimed the possession of the most advanced and cutting-edge military equipment by the Iranian Army.

"Today, in defiance of all sanctions, we stand independently, providing our essential defense equipment," Deputy Army Chief for Coordination Rear Admiral Sayyari told reporters on Tuesday.

--  Iran U17 football coach Abdi apologizes over England’s loss

U17 football head coach Hossein Abdi expressed his apology to the Iranian people following a 2-1 loss against England in the 2023 FIFA U17 World Cup. Unmarked Abolfazl Zamani found the back of the net in the 31st minute for Iran but two second-half’s goals from Reiss Russell-Denny and Joel Ndala sealed a win for England at the Jakarta International Stadium.

“I apologize to everyone because we failed to make them happy,” Abdi said after the match.

--  Iran, Afghanistan determined to expand trade, transit ties

Iran and Afghanistan, two neighbors with many commonalities, believe that the current level of their mutual economic and trade ties is not satisfactory, and they should pursue the development of these ties more seriously.

In this regard, the Iranian and Afghan governments are taking some prominent measures to boost trade between the two countries. In early March, Iran’s trade center and permanent exhibition of Iranian products was inaugurated in Kabul.
