Iran’s TUMS to grant 'Dr. Iyad Shaqura's scholarship' to 2 Palestinian students

Tehran, IRNA – Head of Iran’s Tehran University of Medical Science (TUMS) Hossein Ghana'ati has approved to grant “Dr. Iyad Shaqura's scholarship" to two Palestinian students.

While condemning the atrocities of the Zionist regime in the Gaza enclave, TUMS called on the international community, and all free people in the world, to stand in solidarity with the Palestinian people and support their right to justice, liberation, and peace.

Tehran University of Medical Science will be going to grant scholarships bearing the name of Dr. Iyad Shaqura, in memory of his two martyred children and in support of Palestinian students who wish to follow in his honorable footsteps.

Dr. Iyad Shaqura has graduated with a PhD in Health Management from the Tehran University of Medical Sciences.

The Israeli regime waged a bloody war on Gaza on October 7 after Hamas’ Operation Al-Aqsa Storm against the usurping entity.

Since the start of the aggression, the Tel Aviv regime has killed at least 11,180 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and injured over 28,000 others.

It has also imposed a “complete siege” on the coastal sliver, cutting off fuel, electricity, food, and water to the more than two million Palestinians living there.
