Alireza Enayati made the announcement on Saturday on X, formerly known as Twitter.
He said that Raisi invited bin Salman to visit Iran as the two met in Riyadh on the sidelines of a joint summit by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the Arab League on the Gaza war.
Iran and Saudi Arabia restored their diplomatic relations in March 2023 under a China-brokered deal seven years after they were severed over protests in Iran against the kingdom’s execution of top cleric Sheikh Nimr al-Nimr.
