Cuba to facilitate admission of Iranian firms: President Diaz-Canel

Tehran, IRNA – Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel has underscored that his government will pave the way for admission of Iranian companies in the market of the Latin American country.

According to the Iran Trade Promotion Organization cited by the IRNA on Saturday, President Diaz-Canel, accompanied by a group of Cuban officials, made the remark during his visit to Iran’s pavilion at the Havana International Fair FIHAV 2023, declaring that they will facilitate entry for Iranian companies into the Cuban market.

The Cuban president inaugurated the 39th Havana International Fair in the presence of a number of ministers and officials, as well as diplomats and political representatives from various states and trade delegations from 20 world nations.

President Diaz-Canel expressed gratitude to the representatives of Iranian companies at the pavilion of the Islamic Republic, emphasizing the need for the participation of Iranian firms in supplying consumer goods in his country.

Havana has been waiting for the shipment of Iranian goods into the Cuban market for a long time, he noted.

Some 63 countries participate in the 39th Havana International Fair, where 844 Cuban and foreign companies showcase their products in an area of 17,000 square meters at the Expocuba fairground.

The pavilion of Iran has been set up in an area of 100 square meters, where around 10 firms exhibit food industries, renewable energies, telecommunications industries, biotechnology, detergent industries, cosmetic and hygiene products, cellulose industry, and knowledge-based products in the telecommunications sector, located in Hall 24 of the FIHAV 2023.
