The Jenin branch of the Ezzedeen al-Qassam Brigades, which is the armed wing of Palestine’s Hamas Resistance Movement, has confirmed that its forces have been engaged in fierce clashes with Israeli forces at the camp.
According to Israeli media reports, the clashes have so far left eight Palestinians dead.
Palestinian media have, meanwhile, said that the Zionist forces have destroyed infrastructures of the Jenin camp, using bulldozers, and have carried out airstrikes there.
The Israeli military has admitted that it has deployed military reinforcement to the area.
Tensions have remained high in different parts of the occupied West Bank since the outbreak of the Gaza war on October 7. Israeli forces have conducted numerous raids against Palestinians in the West Bank, who have expressed solidarity with people in Gaza.
