According to Al-Mayadeen news network cited by the IRNA on Tuesday, a US-occupied military base in al-Khadra village in Syria was targeted in a suicide drone attack.
So far, no individual or group has taken responsibility for the attack, but the Islamic Resistance in Iraq had claimed responsibility for similar attacks on American bases in both neighboring Arab countries.
Al-Mayadeen also quoted informed sources as saying that the Islamic Resistance in Iraq has targeted American forces stationed in Iraq’s Erbil in another suicide drone attack.
The attacks come in response to the Zionist regime’s deadly war on the Gaza Strip, to which the United States is deemed a key accomplice.
US military officials said on Monday that more than twice as many American soldiers may have been injured in recent attacks in Iraq and Syria than the Pentagon previously disclosed.
At least 45 Americans are reporting minor injuries or potential traumatic brain injuries, they said.
