The American officials are not ashamed to openly say, “If Israel didn’t exist, we would have to invent it,” Velayati said during a phone conversation with Sheikh Naeem Qasim, the deputy chief of the Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah.
Velayati said such blatant remarks, uttered by US President Joe Biden during his trip to the occupied territories last month, are “reminiscent of the Crusades", adding that "all of these crimes are carried out with the direct support of the United States.”
He also said the Iranian government and people are proud of Hezbollah and the Islamic resistance, adding, “We are certain that the people of Palestine and Gaza will emerge victorious in this sensitive and breathtaking struggle.”
For his part, Sheikh Qasim appreciated Iran’s support for the Axis of Resistance, pledging to continue the fight until the “destruction of the enemies.”
