The air-based Heidar cruise missiles accurately hit the target at a distance of 30 kilometers.
The missile enjoys a GPS guidance system and the pilot has full control over its continued movement toward the target after launching.
According to the report, the Heidar cruise missile is 3 meters 830 cm long and weighs 40kg.
Heidar cruise missiles with over 20 kilogram warheads can destroy fixed and mobile targets up to a radius of more than 200 km.
Also, it can destroy armored units and concrete trenches with considerable power.
The Heidar cruise missile which was successfully test-launched and officially joined the Aerospace Force of the Army fleet was designed by the Army Aerospace Force Self Sufficiency Jihad Organization (ASF SSJO).
The Islamic Republic of Iran Army Ground Force has started large-scale military drills in Isfahan province with a spokesman for the military exercise Brigadier General Karim Cheshak saying the exercise aims to boost deterrence against potential threats.
The two-day exercises, codenamed Eghtedar (Authority) 1402, began on Friday in the Nasrabad region of Isfahan Province with the participation of various units.
