In the meeting, the new ambassador elaborated on his plans for promoting cooperation between Tehran and Ashgabat during his tenure, IRNA reported on Wednesday.
Amirabdollahian, too, called on the new ambassador to pursue the implementation of mutual agreements, adding that Tehran is after fostering ties with Turkmenistan.
Roozbahani is the ninth Iranian ambassador to Turkmenistan. He has already acted as the country’s ambassador to Kyrgyzstan and the Philippines. He has also had various posts in the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
