Elham Salehi of the Iranian para-athletics team bagged a gold medal in the Women’s F54 Final and hit the record with a throw of 7.36 meters.
Mehrdad Moradi of the Iranian sprinter team won a gold medal in the Men's 100m-T12 Final with a time of 11.17 seconds.
Parastoo Habibi of the Iranian para-athletics team won a gold medal in the Women's Club Throw-F32/51 Final of the tournament after finishing first with 22.88 meters. She succeeded in hitting two records in both the Asia and Para Asia games.
Sadegh Beit Sayah of Iran’s javelin throwing team won a silver medal in the Men’s Javelin Throw F41 Final of the 4th Asian Para Games with a throw of 45.20 meters.
Iranian Para Canoeist Shahla Behrouzi clinched a silver medal in the Women’s KL3 Final of the Asian Para Games, while she crossed the finish line just one second after the champion of this tournament.
Also, Roya Soltani of Iran’s Canoe team finished third in the Women’s KL2 Final of the 2022 Asian Para Games and settled for the bronze with a timing of 56.714 seconds.
Around 3,100 athletes from 44 countries and regions are competing in 22 sports and 564 events at the Hangzhou Asian Para Games in China from October 22 to 28.
