Speaking to reporters on Friday, Mahdi Hosseini Matin warned that the situation in the region has become extremely dangerous as a result of the barbaric behavior of the Zionist regime.
The Islamic Republic of Iran supports the cause of Palestine and the efforts of resistance groups, including Hamas, to defend themselves against the Zionist regime's barbaric crimes.
Referring to the killing of the defenseless people of Gaza, he said that the issue of Palestine is one of the main priorities of Iran's foreign policy.
Iran calls for an immediate ceasefire to prevent the spread of conflicts to the entire region and the reopening of the international corridor to send humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza, he stated.
He also pointed to Iran's diplomatic efforts to help reduce tensions in the region, saying that there are good movements among Islamic countries in support of Palestine and this issue has become the focus of the international community and the public opinion of Islamic countries is also focused on this issue.
During the regional consultations, Iran proposed to sanction Israel, he stressed.
Emphasizing the fact that the world is aware of the origin of the recent conflicts and the unconditional support of the Western governments to the Zionist regime's crimes, he said that the supporters of Tel Aviv are the main losers of this conflict.
Commenting on Iran's position regarding the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) attack, he said: What happened by Hamas is in the framework of self-defense.
The situation in the region is critical and Iran is unable to control the resistance groups, he said.
He reiterated Iran's position and called for an immediate end to the conflicts and sending humanitarian aid to Gaza.
He added that Western governments, by supporting the Zionist regime, are complicit in crimes against Palestinians and are standing on the wrong side of history.
In response to a question about Iran's reaction to the situation in which the Zionist regime crosses the red lines, he said: We cautiously hope that a ceasefire will be established.
Regarding the impact of recent developments on the process of normalizing relations between the Zionist regime and Islamic countries, he said that the Israeli regime had lost its legitimacy a long time ago and the West was trying to prevent such an event under the pretext of the so-called Abraham Accords.
