Every drop of Palestinian blood brings Israel closer to collapse: Raisi

Tehran, IRNA - Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi says “every drop of Palestinian blood” being shed in besieged Gaza will only bring the Zionist regime of Israel closer to its eventual downfall.

“Every drop of Palestinian blood will bring the Zionists a step closer to downfall, and the Zionist regime cannot compensate for its defeats with these atrocities,” President Raisi told a huge gathering of protesters in Tehran on Wednesday.

He asked, “Which human being would accept such a horrendous crime? The killing of women and children, attacking hospitals — this marks the beginning of the end for the Zionist regime.”

Apart from the regime's military, security and intelligence failures, the president said, a general global aversion has emerged towards the Zionist regime.

“Today, no one in the world fails to recognize the Zionist regime as a perpetrator of crimes,” he declared.

In another part of his address, Raisi also condemned the Israeli regime’s illegal settlement expansion in occupied Palestinian territories and violations of Al-Aqsa Mosque in al-Quds.

“What the people of Iran, the Islamic world, and freedom advocates expect is the swift severance of political ties with the Zionist regime, expulsion of its ambassadors, and closure of its embassies,” he stated.

He stressed that the entire Islamic community and people of the world demand the rapid lifting of the siege on Gaza so that aid can reach its besieged residents.

Raisi further said that in his discussions with heads of states and the president of the UN Security Council, he emphasized that there should be no delay in ending the Israeli bombardments of Gaza and lifting its blockade.

“Our expectation from the government of Egypt and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation is to immediately initiate the opening of border crossings for humanitarian aid to the oppressed people of Gaza,” he added.
